I take this opportunity to humbly thank God for guiding us through this year, 2024.here at St. Clare Konza girls, the dormitories are well secured as there is provision of security lights which on throughout the night. These dormitories, are situated in the tuition block for now, so that our girls do not fear as they go to sleep after their evening studies.
The school initially had two dormitories but one was added during the beginning of term three, due to increase in the number of students. The dormitories are large enough to accommodate all students without congestion.
As the boarding department, we ensure there is reshuffle in the dormitories and every dormitory is occupied by students from all classes. This brings a sense of community among the girls where they can express themselves, support one another and create lasting memories.
The boarding mistress supervises and offers guidance in each dormitory. We very friendly and therefore any girl facing a problem finds it easy to consult. The dorms are managed by the prefects, the matrons, the female teachers and the dorm mistress. The school matron with the aid of the teacher on duty and boarding mistress, ensures that the girls attend to their assigned duties as expected. The matron also takes those who fall sick to the dispensary, and ensures that the medicine given is safely kept and taken as prescribed
The school dining hall is large enough to accommodate all the students while taking their meals. The girls are also arranged equally per table, regardless of the form or grade and this helps them to relate and socialize well. Our girls are expected to stay clean and thoroughly clean the areas where they are assigned duties. Inspection is done by the teachers, matron and perfects to ensure the duties are done to satisfaction. This instils a sense of responsibility among the girls and therefore prepares the girls to become responsible individuals in future. As the boarding mistress, I am genuinely excited about the journey ahead for our boarding community and looking forward to watching our students grow and :flourish in this supportive environment. Each day brings new challenges and triumphs and I am honored to be part of their lives as we navigate this learning adventure together.
